[important]We will be going on vacation for the next couple weeks and will not have the time or access to continue carrying The Bobby D Show. This Thursday morning will be the last show until we return on the 24th.[/important]

When we return, I will be starting to add some classic Halloween songs to our mix! You’ll hear Ghostbusters, Thriller, Monster Mash and more! Then on Halloween night, at 8pm Mountain, we will play the original broadcast of The War of the Worlds with Orson Welles from 1938! This has been a yearly tradition for a long, long time! You be sure to join us, it’s not something to miss!

We hope you excuse us for a bit while we are away. Don’t worry, we’ll still have our hot country hits rockin’ the world!

BHB 2008 is very near…

That’s right! The 2008 edition of the Big Halloween Broadcast is coming! Funny and spooky halloween songs. Ghost stories. Scary sound effects. A re-broadcast of the original 1938 Orson Welles production of The War Of The Worlds! Live interviews with trick-or-treaters. Your phone calls. Your memories of past Halloweens. A great time to be had by all!

It all happens Halloween Day, Friday, October 31st. All day we will be sprinkling Halloween songs into the playlist. Around 5pm, I will take the mic and start the show! As the day nears, there will most likely be changes. Keep an ear on the radio and an eye here!

BHB 2008 – Coming Soon!

Get ready! Each year we bring you a huge show for Halloween! We call it the Big Halloween Broadcast. We have been a little busy with some of these latest changes so we haven’t had a lot of time to plan. We are beginning the planning now. Some of the recent tests we’ve done where I’ve gone on the air live have been very positive towards making the whole event happen.

We will be playing a variety of Halloween-themed music, having fun conversation, taking live phone calls, and it all culminates with a rebroadcast of Orson Welles’ The War of the Worlds, from 1938. We play all this without commercial interruption and the entire rebroadcast without any interruption.

I am looking at some new ideas for bringing in your phone calls, such as over Google’s GTalk service, or Skype. I also might go with just a normal over-the-phone option as worked well last year. If you have ideas, let us know!

As always, I am very excited about this time of year. I understand that we have a month and a half to prepare, that just makes the final product that much better. Submit your ideas here, as a comment or via email at
